The trek gets underway September 1 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is mapped out through a September 29 show in Los Angeles.
As reported recently the All Starr Band lineup has changed for the first time in about six years, with Men at Work‘s Colin Hay and 10cc‘s Graham Gouldman joining the group, and Todd Rundgren and Mr. Mister‘s Richard Barnes departing. Hay previously played with the All Starr Band in 2003 and 2008. The collective will continue to feature Toto guitarist Steve Lukather, ex-Santana and Journey singer/keyboardist Gregg Rolie, sax player/percussionist Warren Ham, and drummer Gregg Bissonette.
The U.S. leg will follow a previously announced series of dates in Europe and Israel running from a June 6 concert in Paris through a July 11 performance in Rome. The former Beatles drummer and his group also will play a June 2 warm-up gig in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Starr says of the upcoming trek, “There is no greater joy for me than playing great music with great musicians. Every night we get to play for all those loving people and it makes the hassle of touring worth it. It is a Peace & Love fest and I can’t wait to see you all out there this summer and fall.”
