Columbia RecordsBruce Springsteen will release a limited-edition vinyl box set May 18 featuring newly remastered versions all of the albums and EPs he’s released in the U.S. from 1987 to 1996.
Bruce Springsteen: The Album Collection Vol. 2, 1987-1996 spans from 1987’s Tunnel of Love through the 1996 Blood Brothers EP, and includes two-LP editions of Tunnel of Love, 1992’s Human Touch and the 1993 live album, In Concert/MTV Plugged. The package also includes the 1988 live EP Chimes of Freedom, 1992’s Lucky Town and 1995’s The Ghost of Tom Joad. The Blood Brothers EP has never before been available on vinyl.
The Album Collection Vol. 2 also includes a 60-page book featuring rare photos, memorabilia and press clippings from the era. Each album and EP in the box set is housed in sleeves replicating the original packaging.
Tunnel of Love topped the Billboard 200 and featured three hit singles, “Brilliant Disguise,” the title track, and “One Step Up,” which peaked, respectively, at #5, #9 and #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Human Touch and Lucky Town were released on the same day, March 31, 1992, and debuted at #1 and #2, respectively, on the Billboard 200. The albums included the respective singles “Human Touch” and “Better Days,” which both reached #16 on the Hot 100. The Ghost of Tom Joad peaked at #11 on the Billboard 200.
The Album Collection Vol. 2 is a follow-up to the 2014 box set Bruce Springsteen: The Album Collection Vol. 1, 1973-1984, which featured remastered versions of Bruce’s first seven studio albums.
