Bill Rademaeker/A&EDuring the filming for the upcoming third season for Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour travel show, Ozzy Osbourne and his children Jack and Kelly visited the city of Alamogordo, New Mexico. Apparently, the Black Sabbath frontman loved the town so much that he’s joined its Chamber of Commerce.
“The Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome Ozzy Osbourne as our newest member,” reads a post on the organization’s Facebook. “While filming an upcoming episode of Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour…Ozzy and his kids Jack and Kelly fell in love with our community and wanted to leave their footprint.”
According to the Alamogordo Daily News, the Osbournes visited a ranch owned by Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce Executive Director GB Oliver. During the experience, Oliver asked the producers if Ozzy would be interested in joining the Chamber of Commerce.
“After they finished filming a camping scene, the producers said Ozzy wanted to see me in his RV,” Oliver remembers. “Ozzy told me he appreciated all this and how pretty it was out here. I said there was only one thing he had to do now and that was to join the Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce. Without hesitation, he said ‘done,’ and signed the card.”
Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour originally premiered in 2016, and stars Ozzy and Jack visiting different historical and unique sites around the U.S. The first season featured the Prince of Darkness’ return to The Alamo after his infamous arrest for public intoxication at the landmark in 1982.
The third season of the show is scheduled to premiere sometime this year on A&E.
