ABC/Heidi GutmanFor the past couple weeks, Billie Joe Armstrong has been hinting at a new project called The Longshot. The Green Day frontman has now delivered on his teases with The Longshot EP, a three-track collection available now for digital download.
The EP includes songs called “Love Is for Losers,” “Taxi Driver” and “Chasing a Ghost.” It’s unclear who’s in The Longshot alongside Armstrong, but his pop-punk fingerprints are certainly all over the group’s sound.
According to the band’s Instagram bio, The Longshot will release their full-length debut, Love Is for Losers, “sooner or later.” “Probably sooner,” the profile says.
Armstrong’s most recent album with Green Day is 2016’s Revolution Radio.
