ABC/Craig SjodinThis summer, Pearl Jam will play a show at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Montana, the home state of bassist Jeff Ament. In conjunction with the concert, the band is launching Rock2Vote, a campaign to encourage Montana residents to vote.

“Rock2Vote is about standing with Montanans who believe we are at our best when every voice is heard,” says Pearl Jam in a statement. “We are supporting those fighting for Montana values across all Montana communities. From Big Sandy to Browning and Butte to Baker, we believe that every voice counts and every vote matters.”

The campaign will be partnering with four Montana-based non-profit organizations: Forward Montana, Montana Native Vote, Montana Conservation Voters and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Montana. For more info, visit PearlJam.com.

The Missoula show takes place August 13. It’s a stop on Pearl Jam’s summer U.S. stadium tour, which begins August 8 in Seattle.
