Get out your metal-studded life vest, ’cause the lineup’s been announced for the 2019 Monsters of Rock Cruise. Next year’s nonstop floating metal festival has what might be the longest roster yet, with dozens of acts slated to help you bang your head on the high seas.
So far, confirmed performers include Tesla, Tom Keifer, Extreme, Queensrÿche, Saxon, Skid Row, UDO, Kix, Danger Danger, D*A*D, Kings X, Pat Travers Band, Nelson, John Corabi, Bullet Boys, Black N Blue, Tora Tora, and more than a dozen others, with more to be added in the months to come.
During the cruise, fans can mingle with the artists for scheduled photo opps, Q&A sessions, karaoke, the exclusive Monsters of Rock “So You Think You Can Shred” contest, the Bonzai Pipeline Surfing Competition, Cooking with Rock Stars hosted by Lisa Tirone of Chef it up!, celebrity beer tastings, Painting With Rock Stars, and private dinners with your favorite bands.
Other ship activities include boogie boarding or surfing the waves at in a surf simulator, a rock-climbing wall, hot tubs and pools, and on-ship spa. There are also virtual reality-enhanced bungee trampolines, water slides, laser tag, and escape rooms.
The Monsters of Rock cruise sets sail from Miami on February 24 on Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas and stops in Ocho Rios Jamaica and the private Isle of Labadee, before returning to Miami on March 1. Tickets for the five-day, five-night trip start at $1299.
