ABC/Randy HolmesMetallica‘s European tour brought the metal legends to Oslo, Norway Wednesday night. During the show, guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo paid tribute to Norwegian legends a-ha with a cover of their signature song, “Take On Me.”

Trujillo handled lead vocals, while Hammett recreated the track’s famous keyboard riff on his electric guitar. If you’re hoping to hear how high Trujillo’s voice might go, though, you may be disappointed, since Hammett’s guitar takes care of most of the high notes. You can watch official footage of the performance now on YouTube.

Metallica is currently touring European in support of the band’s new album, Hardwired…to Self-Destruct. They’ll launch a U.S. arena tour in September.
