ABC/Fred WatkinsDave Grohl played an acoustic set at the Notes + Words charity concert in Oakland, California Saturday, and the performance turned out to be a family affair.
During the show, the Foo Fighters frontman and his 12-year-old daughter, Violet, covered the Adele song “When We Were Young.” The younger Grohl impressively handled lead vocals while her father strummed on an acoustic guitar. You can watch fan-recorded footage of the collaboration now on YouTube.
The concert raised money for Oakland’s Benioff Children’s Hospital.
Last summer, Grohl invited his middle daughter Harper to play drums during a Foo Fighters show in Iceland. While we wait for details on the Grohl Family Band tour, Foo Fighters will resume a U.S. outing behind their new album Concrete and Gold in July.
