The clip, which you can watch now at the band’s official YouTube channel, features footage of Priest’s members rocking out in a rehearsal room, interspersed with animated segments showing a heavy-gun-toting robot blasting away as it flies across a red sky.
“‘No Surrender’ captures the true metal fighting spirit and metalheads around the world find a united voice within the message of this song,” the band says in a joint statement.
“When you honestly believe in yourself and live your life the way you have the right to with no surrender, then nothing will ever stop you from living your dream.”
Founding Judas Priest guitarist Glenn Tipton appears alongside his four band mates — singer Rob Halford, bassist Ian Hill, drummer Scott Travis and guitarist Richie Faulkner — in the video. Tipton announced in February that he’d been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and said he wouldn’t be able to tour regularly with the group, although he did join Priest for its encores throughout the band’s spring North American tour.
Firepower was released in March and debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200, making it the band’s highest-charting album ever in the States.
