Kevin Winter/Getty Images via ABC; ABC NewsAerosmith‘s Steven Tyler has once again drawn the line when it comes to Donald Trump using his band’s music at political events. At a Republican campaign rally on Tuesday in Charleston, West Virginia, the President played the Aerosmith song “Livin’ on the Edge” as attendees filed into the Charleston Civic Center, prompting the singer’s lawyer to send a cease-and-desist letter to Trump and his organization, Billboard reports.

Back in 2015 while Trump was campaigning for president, Tyler’s attorney, Dina LaPolt, twice sent the then-candidate a letter asking him to refrain from playing Aerosmith music at his rallies after he used “Dream On” at a number of events. The new letter notes that Tyler’s lawyer was aware that “Livin’ on the Edge” was played sat the Charleston rally, and notes, “As expressly outlined in the Previous Letters, Mr. Trump does not have our client’s permission to use any of our client’s music, including ‘Livin’ on the Edge.'”

The message continues, “What makes this violation even more egregious is that Mr. Trump’s use of our client’s music was previously shut down, not once, but two times, during his campaign for presidency in 2015…such conduct is clearly willful, subjecting Mr. Trump to the maximum penalty under the law.”

The complaint maintains that in using the Aerosmith song without Steven’s permission, “Mr. Trump is falsely implying that our client, once again, endorses his campaign and/or his presidency.”

Tyler co-wrote “Livin’ on the Edge” with Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry and songwriter Mark Hudson. The tune appeared on the band’s 1993 album, Get a Grip, and reached #18 on the Billboard Hot 100 that year.
