Paul McCartney announces first U.S. dates for Freshen Up tour

Ahead of the September 7 release of his latest studio album, Egypt Station, Paul McCartney has announced the first U.S. dates of his Freshen Up tour, but they won’t be taking place until late-spring 2019. Five stateside shows have been confirmed so far, running from a May 27 concert in Raleigh, North Carolina, through a June 11 performance in Moline, Illinois.

Tickets go on sale to the public on September 7 at 10 a.m. local time. More details are available on the music legend’s website.

Additionally, Sir Paul has lined up an appearance “on a very special” edition of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, September 6. 
 
McCartney has released three singles from Egypt Station in advance of the albums arrival“I Don’t Know,” “Come On to Me” and “Fuh You” are all available now.

The former Beatles star’s Freshen Up tour kicks off next month with four Canadian shows, starting September 17 in Quebec City. He also has concerts in Tokyo on October and early November, and European dates in late November and December. Apart from the tour, McCartney will be playing headlining sets at the 2018 Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas, on October 5 and October 12.
