Mike ColucciFor the last few years, Billy Joel has celebrated New Year’s Eve by performing in Florida, but this year, he’s in a New York state of mind.

Billy has announced that he’ll perform at NYCB Live/Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in his home base of Long Island, New York on December 31, 2018.  The show will mark the 25th anniversary of the last time Billy played that venue on New Year’s Eve.

Overall, this will be the Piano Man’s 34th performance at the Coliseum; he last played there April 5, 2017, when the venue re-opened following a huge renovation.  In 1998, he set the Coliseum’s record for the most sellouts in one year: nine shows.

Tickets for the NYCB Live/Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum New Year’s Eve show go on sale to the general public Friday, September 14, at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.com, NYCBLIVE.com, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.  Citi Cardmembers can grab tickets starting Wednesday, September 12 at 10 a.m. local time.

On Friday, Billy will perform at Chicago’s Wrigley Field.  He has two other stadium shows scheduled for this year: in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 21 and in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on October 13. Between those two dates, he’ll play his monthly Madison Square Garden residency in New York City on September 30.
