ABC/Randy HolmesMetallica has shared a new video filmed during the metal legends’ acoustic charity show last month, which was recorded for the upcoming live album Helping Hands…Live & Acoustic at the Masonic.

The clip features an unplugged performance of the Master of Puppets track “Disposable Heroes.” With an acoustic arrangement, the speedy thrash anthem transforms into a dark, almost folk-y ballad. You can watch the performance now on YouTube.

The acoustic show, held in Metallica’s hometown of San Francisco, benefited the band’s All Within My Hands charity foundation, and raised over $1.3 million for issues including hunger and workforce education.

You’ll be able to listen to the whole concert — which also included covers of songs by Deep Purple, Nazareth, Bob Seger and Blue Oyster Cult — when the Helping Hands live album is released February 1.
