UMeJust in time for the launch of their End of the Road farewell tour, KISS will release a new career-spanning compilation called KISSWORLD — The Best of KISS on January 25, 2019.
The 20-track retrospective will initially be available on CD, as a digital download and via streaming platforms, while a LP version of the album will be released March 29 on standard black vinyl and limited-edition colored vinyl.
KISSWORLD features many of the band’s biggest hits, including “Rock and Roll All Nite,” “Beth,” “Detroit Rock City” “I Was Made for Lovin’ You,” “God Gave Rock ‘n’ Roll to You II,” “Lick It Up,” “Hard Luck Woman,” “Shout It Out Loud,” “Calling Dr. Love” and “Christine Sixteen.” The band’s latest studio album, 2012’s Monster, also is represented, with “Hell or Hallelujah.”
The album arrives just six days before the kickoff of the End of the World tour, starting January 31 in Vancouver, Canada. The launch of the tour, at the 80,000-seat Rogers Arena, comes 46 years and a day after KISS’ first-ever show show, held at the New York City club Popcorns in front of about 10 people.
The trek currently is mapped out through a September 16 concert in Oakland, California, although the band has announced that it’ll likely last close to three years.
