Blondie's Debbie Harry to perform at the 2019 Tibet House US Benefit Concert in February

Credit: Alexander ThompsonBlondie frontwoman Debbie Harry has joined the lineup of the 32nd annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert, which will be held February 7 in New York City at The Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall.

The concert’s previously announced performers include Late Show host Stephen Colbert; New Order members Bernard Sumner, Phil Cunningham and Tom Chapman; Chris Robinson Brotherhood; Laurie Anderson; Jason Isbell; Nathaniel Rateliff; and Angélique Kidjo.

Renowned composer Philip Glass is the evening’s artistic director.

The concert raises money for Tibet House US, a non-profit organization founded in 1987 at the request of the Dalai Lama that works to preserve Tibetan culture.

Tickets for the 2019 Tibet House US Benefit Concert are on sale now via CarnegieHall.org and the Carnegie Hall box office.

In other news, Harry will perform as a featured guest of The Jazz Passengers at the JPMP 2019 Gala, taking place February 26 at the Ideal Glass Studio in New York City. The concert will raise money for Jazz Passengers Music Projects Inc., a company formed to fund various music, educational and artistic initiatives launched by the veteran jazz outfit’s members.

Harry was part of The Jazz Passengers’ lineup during the 1990s and has worked of various recording projects with the group’s members over the years.
