Tom Petty keyboardist Benmont Tench playing two New York City club shows in March

C Flanigan/FilmMagicFounding Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench will play a pair of intimate solo concerts on March 19 and 20 at the New York City club the Rockwood Music Hall.

Tickets for the shows, which are on sale now, cost $25 for general admission, while a limited number of floor seats are available for $40.

The concerts take place several days after Tench will appear as a special guest at Phil Lesh & Friends‘ three-night stand, March 14-16, at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. The engagement is the Grateful Dead bassist’s fifth annual birth celebration event. Lesh turns 79 on March 15. Among the other guest musicians who will perform at the concerts are guitarist John Scofield and singer Amy Helm, the daughter of late Band member Levon Helm.
