The event will take place on November 7 at NYCB Theatre at Westbury in Westbury, New York. The concert will start with Styx performing The Mission in its entirety and then — following an intermission — a set featuring many of the band’s classic songs.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, March 22, at 10 a.m. ET at LiveNation.com, while VIP packages will be available to Citi Card members and membesr of the band’s fan club beginning Tuesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. ET.

“The show in Las Vegas was so awesome, we wanted to share it with our East Coast friends as well,” says singer/guitarist Tommy Shaw. “Now we can say, this is the day…we’ll be bringing ‘The Missions: Live’ to Westbury!”

At the Vegas concert, Styx also played covers of Queen‘s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Elton John‘s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.”

The Mission tells the story of the fictional first manned voyage to Mars, casting the group’s members as the crew of a spacecraft that leaves Earth en route to the red planet in 2033.

Styx has almost 40 confirmed North American dates on its 2019 tour itinerary, spanning from a March 21 concert in Fargo, North Dakota, through a December 15 show in El Paso, Texas.

Most of the March performances were originally supposed to also feature a set by comedian Larry the Cable Guy, but he’s no longer on the bill for those events.
