Following the news that the Rolling Stones‘ North American No Filter tour has been postponed, guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood have taken to Twitter to thank fans for their support and wish singer Mick Jagger well.
As previously reported, Jagger, 75, needs “medical treatment” and, while he’s expected to make a “complete recovery,” the tour needed to be put on hold for the time being. It was to have started April 20 in Miami Gardens, FL. Tickets for the postponed shows will be valid for the rescheduled dates, when they’re announced.
Keith Richards tweeted, “A big disappointment for everyone but things need to be taken care of and we will see you soon. Mick, we are always there for you!”
Ronnie Wood added, “We’ll miss you over the next few weeks, but we’re looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.”
He also wrote “Here’s to Mick” with the “bicep flexing” emoji, and added, “Thanks for your supportive messages it means so much to us.”
