The show featured Young playing with the Stray Gators — pedal steel guitarist Ben Keith, pianist Jack Nitzsche, bassist Tim Drummond and drummer Kenny Buttrey — the group with whom he recorded most of his classic 1972 album Harvest.

The concert begins with Young playing two of his earlier tunes solo — “Here We Are in the Years” and “After the Gold Rush.” Neil’s set with the Stray Gators includes five songs from Harvest, and renditions of tunes that would later appear on Time Fades Away and Tonight’s the Night.

You can check out Neil and the Stray Gators’ Tuscaloosa performance of “Don’t Be Denied,” a live version of which from a different 1973 concert was featured on Time Fades Away, on Young’s official YouTube channel.

Tuscaloosa can be pre-ordered now, and is available on CD, as a two-LP vinyl set and digitally. The double-LP includes music on three sides and a laser etching on the fourth. Special bundles featuring the CD or LP packaged with lithograph of Young and the Stray Gators performing live can be purchased at Neil’s official online store.
