Credit: Danny ClinchFans who prefer their Bruce Springsteen performing alongside The E Street Band, rejoice. The Boss, who’s releasing a solo album next month, says he has plans to work with his famous backing band in the future.

On Sunday night, during an event in Hollywood designed to encourage Emmy voters to nominate his Netflix film Springsteen on Broadway, Bruce starting talking about how, for seven years, he’d been experiencing writer’s block when it came to creating songs that he and the band could record together.

But then, he added, “About a month or so ago, I wrote almost an album’s worth of material for the band…it just came out of almost nowhere. And it was good, you know.”

He said with a laugh, “It makes you so happy. You go, ‘F***, I’m not f***ed, all right? There’ll be another tour!'”

Springsteen’s solo album Western Stars comes out June 14. There’s no word on whether or not he’ll tour behind that record. There’s also no timetable for an E Street Band project.
