Tickets for the shows go on sale to the general public this Friday, June 7. The dates will follow The Doobie Brothers’ previously reported joint North American trek with Santana, which gets underway on June 20 in Irvine, California, and runs through an August 25 concert in Wantagh, New York.

The band’s itinerary also includes a few other previously announced headlining dates spread throughout the summer.

Word of the new Doobie Brothers concerts comes on the heels of the news that the veteran rockers will be releasing a new concert album and video called Live from the Beacon Theatre on June 28. The band recorded the project this past November in New York City; it features full performances of two of the Doobies’ early albums: 1972’s Toulouse Street and 1973’s The Captain and Me.  The package will be available digitally, on Blu-ray, as a two-CD set and as a two-CD/DVD set.

In related news, a PBS special featuring footage of the Beacon concerts will be airing on select stations around the U.S. in the coming days.
