This Is the Town: A Tribute to Nilsson, Vol. 2 will be released on June 21, and it includes the power-pop legends’ rendition of a 1972 Nilsson song called “Ambush.”

The Cheap Trick cover can be purchased now as a digital single, and you can also check out the song at the band’s official YouTube channel.

This Is the Town: A Tribute to Nilsson, Vol. 2 also features singer/songwriter Martha Wainwright‘s interpretation of “Daddy Song,” and 12 other covers by lesser-known artists.

“Ambush” isn’t the first Nilsson song Cheap Trick has covered. The band’s 2017 holiday album, Christmas Christmas, includes a rendition of Harry’s 1974 tune “Remember (Christmas).” In addition, frontman Robin Zander recorded a version of Nilsson’s 1972 hit “Jump into the Fire” for his self-titled 1993 debut solo album.

The first volume of This Is the Town was released in 2014, and included contributions by Tracy Bonham, Church of Betty, Rasputina, Langhorne Slim and Nilsson’s daughter Annie.

This Is the Town: A Tribute to Nilsson, Vol. 2 can be pre-ordered now and is available on CD, digitally and as a limited-edition orange-vinyl LP.
