Courtesy of Hollywood Chamber of CommerceThe list of celebrities who’ll be receiving stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2020 has been unveiled. Among the music artists slated to be honored next year are Billy Idol and Elvis Costello.
Billyl Idol reacted to the news by posting the following message on his Twitter feed: “Honored…2 receive a [star] on the #Hollywoodwalkoffame inducted along with some amazing people in the class of 2020.”
Others in the Recording category who’ll be receiving stars include late blues legend Muddy Waters, veteran music executive Mo Ostin, early-1960s teen idol Bobby Rydell, Alicia Keys, rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and country singer Tanya Tucker.
Celebs from other areas of the entertainment world whose names will be appearing on stars along Hollywood Boulevard next year include Mahershala Ali, Laurence Fishburne, Chris Hemsworth, Spike Lee, Julia Roberts, Octavia Spencer, Christina Applegate, Andy Cohen, Cindy Crawford, Dave Chappelle, Terry Crews, Kathie Lee Gifford, Burt Ward, Wendy Williams, Dr. Phil McGraw and the late Andy Kaufman, as well as the caped crusader himself, “Batman.”
None of the star ceremonies are currently scheduled; the honorees are given two years to organize an unveiling ceremony. The events are announced 10 days prior to the dedication ceremony at WalkofFame.com.
