ABC/Randy HolmesDave Grohl and Geezer Butler have joined the lineup for the 2019 Bowl for Ronnie, an annual charity bowling tournament held in memory of the late Ronnie James Dio.
The Foo Fighters frontman and the Black Sabbath bassist will be part of a celebrity team led by rock radio and TV personality Eddie Trunk. Ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler and Sebastian Bach guitarist Brent Woods are also on the team.
If hanging out with those guys sounds like a good time, you can bid for a spot on the team via eBay. The auction will be open through October 27 at 6 p.m. PT.
Other participants include former GN’R guitarist Gilby Clarke, Ozzy Osbourne bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson, frequent KISS collaborator Bob Kulick, ex-Whitsnake, Foreigner and Billy Idol drummer Brian Tichy, Cinderella drummer Fred Coury, Fuel‘s Brett Scallions, and Dio alums Craig Goldy, Scott Warren and Rudy Sarzo.
Bowl for Ronnie raises money for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. Dio died of stomach cancer in 2010 at age 67.
