Paul Natkin/WireImageA selection of the items belonging to the family of late Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads that were stolen last month have been found, according to Los Angeles ABC affiliate KABC.
On Thanksgiving night, thieves stole various instruments and memorabilia that belonged to or relate to Rhoads from the Musonia School of Music in North Hollywood, California. Rhoads had taught at the school, which was founded by his mother, Dolores.
KABC reports that local resident Bobbi Fredriksz first noticed a guitar and a number of photos in a dumpster. When she then later saw a KABC report about the robbery, she recognized the instrument.
“As I was laying in bed, not feeling well, when [the report] came on. I was, like, ‘Wait a minute, oh my God,'” Fredriksz said. “I ran all the way back over here it was still here. Somebody else started to see it and called police.”
Rhoads joined Ozzy’s solo band in 1979, and played on iconic releases including 1980’s Blizzard of Ozz and 1981’s Diary of a Madman. He died in a plane crash in 1982 at age 25.
Over the weekend, Osbourne offered a $25K reward for information leading to the recover of the stolen items.
