Tim Mosenfelder/Getty ImagesNext year marks the 10th anniversary of Ronnie James Dio‘s death, and to mark the occasion, the late metal legend’s Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund is holding a memorial gala.
The event takes place February 20 at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, and will include live performances, auctions and a raffle.
As for the performances, a press release promises that “the amazing vocals and visuals of Ronnie James Dio…will provide the entertainment” alongside Dio band members Simon Wright, Craig Goldy, Scott Warren and Bjorn Englen. Ex-Judas Priest vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens will also be performing.
Additionally, the gala will feature an awards show, and will honor those who “played a role in…Dio’s legacy” or helped with the Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund, which was founded following Dio’s death.
The awards are all named after Dio’s songs, including the Holy Diver Award, the Killing the Dragon Award and the Rainbow in the Dark Award.
