Courtesy of Big Ears FestivalLed Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones is performing a solo set at next year’s Big Ears Festival in Tennessee.
According to a press release, Jones’ set will be “improvised,” and will find the rock icon playing a variety of instruments, including grand piano, mandolin and electronics.
As previously reported, Jones is also performing at Big Ears with his new project, Sons of Chipotle, his collaboration with Finnish cellist Anssi Karttunen. The set will mark Sons of Chipotle’s U.S. live debut.
The Big Ears Festival, which will also feature Patti Smith, will be held March 26-29 in Knoxville. For the full lineup and ticket info, visit BigEarsFestival.org.
