During a pre-game ceremony Thursday, Boston Bruins goalie — and Metallica fanatic — Tuukka Rask was honored for playing his 500th career NHL game, as well as becoming the winningest goalie in the franchise’s history.

Along with receiving gifts from teammates and team executives, Rask was also surprised with a replica of Lars Ulrich‘s drum set.

In a video message to Rask, posted to NHL.com, Ulrich congratulated the goalie on his “crazy cool” and “incredible” accomplishment.

“Thank you for being a Metallica fan,” Ulrich continued. “On behalf of Kirk [Hammett], James [Hetfield] and Rob [Trujillo], and myself, congratulations on 500 NHL games, and we’ll see you out there somewhere soon.”

Metallica has previously played the national anthem during the Stanley Cup finals in honor of the band’s hometown hockey team, the San Jose Sharks.
