ABC/Image Group LAOzzy Osbourne is condemning the practice of cat declawing in a new ad for PETA.
The ad stars the Prince of Darkness with several of his fingers cut off, leaving bloody stumps. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, declawing cats involves amputation.
“Never declaw a cat,” the ad’s caption reads. “It’s an amputation. Not a manicure.”
“Amputating a cat’s toes is twisted and wrong,” says Ozzy. “If your couch is more important to you than your cat’s health and happiness, you don’t deserve to have an animal! Get cats a scratching post — don’t mutilate them for life.”
