Courtesy of ITBFleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood corralled an incredible cast of rock legends to pay tribute to his band’s original frontman, singer/guitarist Peter Green, at a concert held Tuesday night at the London Palladium.

Among the evening’s performers were Pink Floyd‘s David Gilmour, Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler, ZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons, The Who‘s Pete Townshend, Metallica‘s Kirk Hammett, ex-Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman, OasisNoel Gallagher, and U.K. blues great John Mayall. A number of current and former Fleetwood members also performed, including Christine McVie, Crowded House‘s Neil Finn and founding guitarist Jeremy Spencer, who was a surprise guest.

Mick Fleetwood served as emcee and played drums throughout the concert, alongside a house band that also featured former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Rick Vito, Jonny Lang, Who touring drummer Zak Starkey, acclaimed session guitarist Andy Fairweather Low, Fleetwood Mac touring keyboardist Ricky Peterson, and journeyman bassist Dave Bronze.

The event, which benefited the Teenage Cancer Trust charity, was packed with onstage collaborations.

Among the many highlights were Tyler and Gibbons duetting on “Oh Well, Part 1” and “Rattlesnake Shake,” McVie and Tyler teaming up for a rendition of “Stop Messin’ Around,” Finn singing the Green ballad “Man of the World,” Gibbons and Hammett rocking out together on “The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown),” and Gilmour playing atmospheric lap-steel guitar on “Albatross.”

The concert ended with most of the musicians hitting the stage together for a rocking version of Elmore James‘ “Shake Your Moneymaker.”

You can check out fan-recorded video footage of many of the songs on YouTube.

As previously reported, the show was documented for a concert film that will premiere in select theaters in June and for a deluxe audio/video box set. Visit MickFleetwoodandFriends.com for more details.
