The animated clip, which is essentially a moving oil painting, follows a man’s visit to a psychic, where he looks into a crystal ball foretelling mass flooding in cities including New York, Seattle, Paris and London.
On the other side of the crystal ball, he sees teenage climate activist Greta Thunburg staring back at him.
You can watch the “Retrograde” video streaming now on YouTube.
Gigaton, Pearl Jam’s first album since 2013’s Lightning Bolt, was released in March. It also includes the singles “Dance of the Clairvoyants” and “Superblood Wolfmoon.”
Pearl Jam was scheduled to tour the U.S. in support of Gigaton throughout March and April, but the run was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
