Courtesy of MSO PRThe Stray Cats will strut into Sin City this spring for their first concert in North America in a decade. The retro rock ‘n’ roll trio — singer/guitarist Brian Setzer, bassist Lee Rocker and drummer Slim Jim Phantom — will play a headlining set on Saturday, April 21, at The Orleans during the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend event.

“There’s something magic about a Stray Cats show,” says Setzer in a statement. “Viva Las Vegas is the perfect event to experience that. C’mon down and Rock This Town!”

Adds Rocker, “Just a string bass, a guitar and a drum, Stray Cats are back to show ’em how it’s done. 39 years after our first gigs, we’re back!”

Performing on the bill with The Stray Cats will be two Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, Jerry Lee Lewis and Duane Eddy.

The Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend runs from Thursday, April 19, through Sunday, April 22, and features a variety of concerts and other activities at various venues. Other artists performing at the extravaganza include Wanda Jackson, Freddie Cannon, Los Straitjackets and dozens more.

The festival also will feature a car show, burlesque shows and competitions, swimsuit contests, themed parties, a bowling tournament, DJ sets and more.
