ABC/Heidi GutmanGreen Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is continuing his criticism of President Donald Trump after the latter tweeted that he has a “nuclear button” that is “much bigger [and] more powerful” than North Korea’s.
“This isn’t funny,” Armstrong posted on Instagram alongside a screenshot of Trump’s tweet. “This is our president acting like a madman drunk on power THREATENING to kill innocent starving people by way of nuclear war.”
Armstrong adds that the 25th Amendment, which allows for the vice president and the Cabinet to vote on whether the president is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office,” “needs to be enforced.”
“This man is sick and unfit for office,” Armstrong writes of Trump. “I don’t care if you’re liberal or conservative, this has to stop. Please share #ImpeachTrump.”
Armstrong hasn’t been shy with his criticism of the president. A few weeks after Trump was elected, Green Day chanted “No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA!” while performing their single “Bang Bang” at the 2016 American Music Awards.
