James GladerThe widow of Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey is suing New York City’s Mount Sinai Hospital, reports The New York Post‘s Page Six.
Frey’s wife, Cindy, filed the wrongful-death suit against the hospital and gastroenterologist Steven Itzkowitz charging that that were negligent in the way they treated her husband for ulceritive colitis in late 2015.
According to the paper, the suit also charges that Itzkowitz failed to “promptly and properly assess the patient for respiratory issues” and ignored an infection.
Frey died in January of 2016 from complications from colitis and rheumatoid arthritis. The suit is seeking unspecified damages.
