Mike Marsland/WireImage; David Livingston/Getty ImagesThe drama surrounding the alleged altercation between ex-Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and his 21-year-old son, Brandon, has exploded, with Tommy, Brandon and Lee’s ex-wife Pamela Anderson all issuing statements regarding the incident.
Just to recap, this past Monday, Lee claims his son burst into his bedroom, apparently upset by negative Twitter comments Tommy had made about Anderson, Brandon’s mom. After Lee asked Brandon to leave the house, he claims his son sucker-punched him and knocked him unconscious.
In an exclusive statement to People, Brandon said, “The events of the last several days…have been a result of my father’s alcoholism.” He claimed that he’d unsuccessfully tried to organize an intervention, adding, “I have and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement as needed. I love my father and just want to see him sober, happy and healthy.”
Anderson posted a lengthy message on PamelaAndersonFoundation.org in which she also blames Lee’s alcoholism for the altercation.
“I stand beside my son who acted out of self defense and was scared for his life,” she wrote. “Nobody understands the lifetime of disappointment this man has brought our family.”
She added, “Believe me. [Brandon] punched him in the nose for all of us who he has hurt…Now Tommy feels humiliated and is attempting to destroy his own son…This is the disease of alcoholism.”
Anderson also called out Lee’s fiancee, whom she claims “keeps him drunk.”
As for Lee, he defended himself in an extremely long Facebook message, saying he feels heartbroken that Brandon punched him, calling the attack unprovoked and asking for an apology.
Lee also admitted he likes to drink but isn’t an “abusive” alcoholic; and said his fiancée isn’t an enabler; rather, she got him to go to therapy.
