Warner Bros. RecordsDuring their initial 1970s heyday, Black Sabbath had little success on the U.S. singles chart.  Several of their songs broke into the top 40 in their U.K. homeland, including their classic tune “Paranoid,” which peaked at #4 in 1970. Now, a limited-edition vinyl box set gathering replica versions of 10 of the metal legend’s singles will be released June 8.

Supersonic Years — The Seventies Singles Box Set features 10 seven-inch discs housed in unique color picture sleeves that either reproduce rare cover art from around the world or are exclusive to this collection. Among the songs included in the set are rare single edits of five songs — “Iron Man,” “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath,” “Am I Going Insane (Radio),” “Hard Road,” and “Symptom of the Universe.”

All of the songs were remastered by respected engineer Andy Pearce.

The box set comes with a booklet featuring new liner notes offering details about the rare tracks in the collection and information about the early history of Black Sabbath.
