According to the gossip site, the musician, who also plays with Motley Crue‘s Nikki Sixx in Sixx:A.M., was pulled over in his hometown of Fairbury, Illinois after running a stop sign, and was given a field sobriety test.
Ashba was then reportedly taken to jail, and TMZ has photos of his mugshot.
Despite his arrest, Ashba seems to have had a nice weekend: On Saturday, he performed the national anthem at Fairbury’s Prairie Dirt Classic auto race.
“It was so nice to chill back home for a few and reset,” he wrote in an Instagram post Sunday. “Thank you to everyone in my hometown of Fairbury for having me out to perform the national anthem for y’all.”
Ashba played in GNR between 2009 and 2015, and has played in Sixx:A.M. since 2007. With Sixx currently on hiatus, Ashba and band mate James Michael launched a new band called Pyromantic earlier this year.
