Blackened Recordings Metallica has revealed the details for the deluxe reissue of their 1988 album …And Justice for All, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The re-release will arrive in various formats — including an elaborate Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set — on November 2.
In the Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set, you’ll find the original album remastered on a double LP, a “One” picture disc, a remixed live recording from a 1989 Seattle show on three LPs, 11 CDs filled with demos, rough mixes and live tracks, four DVDs, and a digital download card for all the included material.
The collection also includes a variety of memorabilia, including patches, a tour laminate and lyric sheets, as well as a 120-page photo book.
A remastered version of “Dyers Eve” and a 1988 live in London recording of “Eye of the Beholder” are available online now.
Aside from spawning the hit anti-war single “One,” …And Justice for All is significant in Metallica’s history because it was the metal legends’ first album following the death of bassist Cliff Burton in 1986. Bassist Jason Newsted was hired to take over, but his playing on Justice is infamously barely audible for reasons that are still unclear.
