Courtesy of Danny Wimmer PresentsThere’s a new festival in town…that is, in the city of Columbus, Ohio, where the first-ever Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival has been scheduled for May 17-19, 2019.
Foo Fighters are among the headliners for the three-day event, along with fellow heavy hitters System of a Down and Disturbed.
The festival, which will take place at Mapfre Stadium, also will feature performances by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, The Cult, Black Label Society, ex-Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan, Tom Morello, The Hives, The Prodigy, Ghost, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Chevelle and a slew of others.
In addition to the music, the festival will feature a comedy and spoken-word tent, with standup by Andrew Dice Clay, Pauly Shore and others, and a spoken-word set from punk veteran Henry Rollins.
Keeping up with other festivals, Sonic Temple also will feature premium food and beverage options, art installations and “enhanced onsite experiences,” according to the organizers.
Multiple tiers of ticket options will be available, including the “Pillar Premium VIP Package,” which includes VIP wristbands, access to catered meals and a side-stage viewing platform, two Sonic Temple festival t-shirts, two exclusive Zippo lighters and two commemorative laminates.
Tickets range from the downright reasonable — $99.50 for general admission to all three days — to the consider-it-a-vacation level of $1,949.50 for the Pillar Premium, which includes accommodations for two people.
Tickets of all tiers go on sale this Friday, November 30, at SonicTempleFestival.com.
