As previously reported, the tour kicks off August 1 in Windsor, Canada, and winds down September 1 in Los Angeles. Among the newly confirmed concerts: an August 10-11 engagement at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia, and shows in Philadelphia; Champaign, Illinois; Santa Fe, New Mexico; Phoenix, Arizona; and Oakland, California.
As previously announced, Ringo and the All-Starr Band will play two-night stands on August 3-4 at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois, and August 7-8 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The Beach Boys also will be performing at the Ravinia concerts.
In addition, Ringo and the All-Starrs will warm up for their previously announced spring tour of Japan with one U.S. concert on March 21 in Valley Center, California. The Japan trek runs from a March 27 gig in Fukuoka through an April 11 show in Osaka.
Playing with the ex-Beatles drummer in his All Starr Band this year are ex-Santana and Journey singer/keyboardist Gregg Rolie, Toto guitarist Steve Lukather, Men at Work frontman Colin Hay and ex-Average White Band guitarist/bassist Hamish Stuart, as well as sax player/percussionist Warren Ham and drummer Gregg Bissonette.
“My dream has always been, and still is, to play great music with great musicians — and I’ve been blessed to have so many incredible ones in my All Starr Bands,” says Ringo.
“We can’t wait to get out there and share the joy with you — every show is always such a wonderful Peace & Love fest between us and our audiences.”
