Courtesy of America Salutes YouA TV special documenting a recent benefit concert featuring ZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons, Heart‘s Nancy Wilson, and blues rocker George Thorogood will premiere this Friday, December 27, on The CW at 8 p.m. ET.
The hour-long program, titled America Salutes You Presents Guitar Legends 3, features highlights of a show that took place in November 24 as part of the Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival in San Diego. The event also featured Toto‘s Steve Lukather, ex-Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes, ex-Tower of Power singer Ellis Hall, and Blackberry Smoke frontman Charlie Starr.
Longtime John Fogerty touring drummer Kenny Aronoff served as drummer for the event’s house band.
The concert raised money for several charities focusing on brain and mental wellness for members of the military, veterans and first responders.
An extended, 90-minute version of the special that includes extra behind-the-scenes footage will be streamed on CWTV.com.
