For their six-song set, the trio was joined by St. Vincent, Beck and Grohl’s daughter Violet. St. Vincent sang on “Lithium,” Beck took the mic for “In Bloom,” “Been a Son” and a cover of David Bowie‘s “The Man Who Sold the World,” and Violet joined her dad and his former band mates for “Heart-Shaped Box.”
You can watch fan-shot footage of the entire set streaming on YouTube.
You may recall that St. Vincent was one of the guest singers during Nirvana’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony performance in 2014. Beck, meanwhile, previously teamed upwith Grohl, Novoselic and Smear in 2016 for a performance of “The Man Who Sold the World,” which Nirvana famously covered during their MTV Unplugged special.
The Art of Elysium show marked the first time Grohl, Novoselic and Smear had shared the stage together since their performance at the 2018 Cal Jam festival.
