Jason Merritt/Getty ImagesIt has, of course, been a rough few weeks for Vicky Cornell, but she’s taken time to thank fans for supporting her in the wake of her husband Chris Cornell‘s death.
“We feel your love. Thank you, Vicky, Lily, Toni and C,” reads a note on Vicky Cornell’s Twitter, posted in the wee hours Tuesday. The image is accompanied by a photo of Chris Cornell’s grave marker, surrounded by flowers.
In addition to Cornell’s name and years of birth and death, the marker’s inscription reads: “Voice of our generation and an artist for all time. Beloved husband and father.”

Lily is Cornell’s daughter with his first wife. Toni and Christopher are his children with Vicky.
Cornell was found dead in his Detroit hotel room on May 18 in what was ruled a suicide. Vicky Cornell has contended that an excessive dose of the anti-anxiety drug Ativan played a role in Cornell’s actions, though a toxicology report, released last week, declared drugs found in Cornell’s system, including Ativan, “did not contribute to the cause of death.”
